Debit Cards

Your RCU account comes with a debit card, which allows you to bank at any Interac®, Acculink®, Maestro®, or Cirrus® ATM in the world. you can also pay for your purchases at retailers that offer payment by debit. Simply insert your card into the card reader and enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number) when prompted.

How to make a contactless payment

The wonder of one-step payment: it’s so simple, all you do is tap your card or mobile device on the terminal. Once you hear the beep, you’re good to go. Interac® Debit contactless payments  with your card are faster and more convenient than traditional Chip and PIN transactions for everyday purchases. They’re also just as secure, thanks in part to transaction limits:

  • A single card-based contactless transaction cannot exceed $250
  • Cumulative spend limits of $400 since the last PIN entry

When the cumulative spend limit is reached, you are prompted to insert your card and enter your PIN to complete the transaction. This validates you as the legitimate cardholder and resets the limits.

Change your PIN anytime

If you know your existing PIN, you may change it anytime you like at any RCU branch or credit union ATM that displays the Acculink symbol.
